Back to the Outback

(2021)Directed by Clare Knight, Harry Cripps92 min · PGFamily, Animation, Adventure, Comedy
“Dangerously cute and on the loose.”

Maddie (Isla Fisher) is a snake who has spent her whole life in a zoo's reptile house, watched by humans who flinch back from the glass. She and the other deadly creatures held there, among them Pretty Boy (Tim Minchin) and Chaz (Eric Bana), decide to break out and make for the Outback, where nobody will stare. Directors Clare Knight and Harry Cripps build the trip around a ragged little crew who start out as cellmates and begin to look after one another.
