(1994)Directed by Iain Softley100 min · RDrama, Music

“5 guys. 4 legends. 3 lovers. 2 friends. 1 band.”

A young band from Liverpool plays Hamburg clubs, and Stuart Sutcliffe (Stephen Dorff), John Lennon's (Ian Hart) closest friend, is the bass player who can barely play. Then Astrid Kirchherr (Sheryl Lee), a German photographer, takes an interest in Stuart, and Iain Softley follows the three of them. Under the noise of the shows, it is a story about how hard it is to stay loyal to a friend and still become who you are meant to be.
