Bacurau

“If you come, come in peace”

Teresa (Bárbara Colen) comes home to Bacurau, a small town in the Brazilian sertão, to bury her grandmother Carmelita, who lived to be 94. The funeral barely ends before the neighbors, among them Domingas (Sonia Braga) and the fighter Pacote (Thomás Aquino), notice the town has dropped off most maps. Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles direct it as a Western, filling the street with the whole town.
