“Whatcha gonna do?”

Someone has stolen a heroin shipment from inside a Miami police station, and detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) get 72 hours to bring it back. Mike is a bachelor who likes his nights out, while Marcus is a married father with a mortgage and a short fuse. Michael Bay's film hangs on the one witness, Julie Mott (Téa Leoni), who will only talk to a partner who isn't the one she meets.
