Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) just wants to get through his days on the Miami Narcotics Task Force without his partner dragging him into another mess. The job is stopping Ecstasy from flooding the city, a trail that leads to Johnny Tapia (Jordi Mollà), a drug lord at war with Russian and Haitian mobsters. Michael Bay stages it loud, and the harder thing for Marcus is learning that Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) has been secretly seeing his sister Syd (Gabrielle Union).
