Willie Soke (Billy Bob Thornton) and his furious little partner Marcus (Tony Cox) plan to rob a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve, one in a Santa suit, one dressed as an elf. Mark Waters sends them in with cheap whiskey and an old grudge, plus Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly), the 250-pound kid who keeps trailing Willie. Then Willie's mother Sunny (Kathy Bates) turns up, and what he has with her is the oldest bad blood in the job.
