Badhaai Do

“Atrangi wedding. Satrangi Setting.”

Shardul Thakur (Rajkummar Rao) is a police officer in a small town, and he is gay, a fact he keeps from the force and from his family. Suman Singh (Bhumi Pednekar), a schoolteacher, is a lesbian with relatives pressing her to marry. They agree to a sham marriage, and Harshavardhan Kulkarni lets the two of them move into one house to keep up the act, each hiding a life from the people closest to them.
