A bank robbery in Pune ends with a carjacker's bullet killing Misha (Yami Gautam Dhar) and her young son, and one of the two men who did it, Liak (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), is caught and sent to prison. Raghu (Varun Dhawan), the husband left behind, spends the years afterward working out what he will do. Sriram Raghavan, adapting Massimo Carlotto's novel, leaves Raghu in a quiet flat with the stillness of someone who has stopped expecting anything.
