Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Badrinath Bansal (Varun Dhawan) is a young man from Jhansi who goes along with his family's old ideas about what a wife should be and do. Then he meets Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia Bhatt) from Kota, who wants a life of her own and says so. Shashank Khaitan sets two small-town people with opposite views on gender roles side by side, and the families watching them decide what a woman is allowed to want.
