Bagdad Cafe

“Off Route 66 between Vegas and nowhere a little magic's going on...”

Jasmin Münchgstettner (Marianne Sägebrecht) walks into a dilapidated motel and diner in the Mojave Desert, a German tourist in a heavy suit with a suitcase and nowhere else to go. Brenda (CCH Pounder), the exasperated owner who can barely keep the place running, eyes her with plain suspicion. Percy Adlon fills the truck stop with wanderers and strays, and the cafe sits out on the road under a wide desert sky.
