Moritaka Mashiro (Takeru Satoh) plans to finish school and take an office job, because his uncle, a manga artist, worked himself to death. Then he falls for Miho Azuki (Nana Komatsu), who wants to be a voice actress and says they can marry once both of them have made it. Hitoshi One follows Moritaka and his classmate Akito Takagi (Ryunosuke Kamiki) as they try to publish a manga, with that promise riding on the result.
