Balkan Express

“A band whose music is a cover for survival.”

Nobody in the troupe called The Balkan Express can play an instrument, because they are con artists and thieves who have taken up the name as cover. It is the start of World War II, and Branko Baletić gathers Popaj (Dragoslav 'Dragan' Nikolić) and Pik (Borivoje Todorović) among a crowd of crooks all passing themselves off as musicians. Popaj keeps up the act with a straight face, a man with no talent making a living out of looking as if he has some.
