Ballast

Marlee (Tarra Riggs) is a single mother in a small Mississippi Delta township, trying to keep her son James (JimMyron Ross) out of trouble and the two of them fed. An act of violence pulls them toward Lawrence (Micheal J. Smith Sr.), a highway store owner too devastated to speak of it, and an old, bitter conflict stirs again. Lance Hammer wrote, edited and directed it, and he lets the quiet in these rooms carry the weight.
