“Small balls. Big ambition.”

Gary "The Beast" Houseman (Seann William Scott) mops the floors at a Nebraska high school and wants one more shot at the tennis career that once got away from him. When the school's tennis team turns up in need of a coach, he takes the job, with Coach Lew Tuttle (Randy Quaid) in the same building. Danny Leiner fills the team with misfits, and the film plainly believes a bunch of nobodies deserves a real chance.
