Bambi

(1942)Directed by David Hand70 min · GAnimation, Drama, Family
“Love Comes To The Forest Folk . . . and to you, in one of the world's greatest love stories!”

Bambi opens in a forest that moves from one season to the next, and a newborn fawn is born into it as the young prince of the woods. David Hand's film follows him through his first year, where he picks up words and manners from Thumper (Peter Behn), a rabbit, and Flower (Stan Alexander), a skunk. Bambi (Donnie Dunagan) is quiet and unsure of his legs, and he learns about friendship and love one season at a time.
