Barbara

The actress Brigitte (Jeanne Balibar) is preparing to play the French singer Barbara, and the line between the two keeps slipping. She learns the songs, the scores, the gestures, even the knitting, while director Yves Zand (Mathieu Amalric) sinks into archives and encounters of his own. Amalric lets the two of them blur, until the film is no longer sure who is playing whom.
