Calvin (Ice Cube) runs the South Side Chicago barbershop he inherited from his father, and he is still working to keep it open. Developers want to replace shops like his with name-brand chains, and the beauty salon next door is competing for the same customers. Kevin Rodney Sullivan fills the chairs with Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer), Terri (Eve) and the rest of the regulars, and Calvin counts on them to hold the place together.
