Merliah (Kelly Sheridan) is a mermaid from Oceana who flies to Australia for a surfing competition, only to learn that the villain Eris (Kathleen Barr) is scheming to take over her kingdom. William Lau directs this CGI-animated sequel, which returns Sheridan to the voice of Barbie. The film ends on Merliah, a board under her arm, racing to save the merfolk before the big surfing competition begins.
