Barquero

“How much is enough, Barquero?”

Travis (Lee Van Cleef) runs the ferry barge across a river on the road to Mexico, and all he wants is to keep it his. When Jake Remy (Warren Oates) rides up with a gang of cutthroats fresh from a robbery and demands a crossing, Travis refuses and takes the townspeople over to the far bank. Gordon Douglas sets the two men against each other on opposite shores, each with people stranded on the other's side.
