Barton Fink
“There's only one thing stranger than what's going on inside his head... What's going on outside.”
Barton Fink (John Turturro) leaves New York in 1941 after a Broadway hit and takes a studio job writing pictures in Hollywood. He checks into the run-down Hotel Earle, sits down at a typewriter he can't make work, and gets only the sound of the man next door, Charlie Meadows (John Goodman). The Coens keep Barton in that stifling room, and the two men start leaning on each other for company.
