Basic Sanitation, the Movie

“If it is to be done, it’s better to do it well”

The villagers want a sewage system and have no money for one, but a federal grant for making a movie has landed in their laps, so they decide to shoot a sci-fi picture about a monster in a septic tank site. Marina (Fernanda Torres) and Joaquim (Wagner Moura) are pulled into the production, with Jorge Furtado watching a whole town take up cameras. Between the takes and the arguments over the script, the two of them work out what they are to each other.
