Gotham City is turning cold, and the cause is a scientist named Dr. Victor Fries (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who has become Mr. Freeze and means to turn the city into an arctic. Batman (George Clooney) and Robin (Chris O'Donnell) go after him while Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) works her own schemes and Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone) joins the fight. Joel Schumacher stages it all at full volume, with big sets, loud colors and theatrical performances.
