Battle Beyond the Stars

“A battle beyond time, beyond space.”

On Akir, a peaceful farming planet, the tyrant Sador (John Saxon) has announced he will return to take everything the harvest has grown. Young Shad (Richard Thomas) is sent out in a spaceship to hire mercenaries, and he comes back with Gelt (Robert Vaughn), Cowboy (George Peppard), and a crew of strangers who share little except a price. Jimmy T. Murakami, working for Roger Corman's New World Pictures, plays it as The Magnificent Seven moved into outer space.
