“Six lives, six battles, one city.”

In Seattle in 1999, thousands of activists converge downtown for the World Trade Organization's ministerial conference, planning to shut the talks down by blocking the streets. Jay (Martin Henderson) and Dale (Woody Harrelson) are among the protesters, while Ella (Charlize Theron) is caught up on another side. Stuart Townsend, directing for the first time, cuts between these lives in short, restless scenes that keep the day moving.
