Battleship Potemkin

Grigory Vakulinchuk (Aleksandr Antonov) is a sailor aboard the battleship Potemkin during the Russian Revolution of 1905, serving under officers who treat the crew with open brutality. Sergei Eisenstein builds the film from a ship's hardware and the faces of the men below deck. Once the crew turns on Commander Golikov (Vladimir Barsky) and the officers, the mutiny and the Odessa crowd that gathers behind it put everyone aboard in the path of the Tsar's police.
