Baxter

“Beware of the dog who thinks.”

In a French house in 1989, a white Bull Terrier named Baxter is handed to Madame Deville (Lise Delamare), an elderly woman, by her daughter. Jérôme Boivin, adapting Ken Greenhall's novel Hell Hound, lets Baxter narrate his own observations in a flat voice-over as he passes between masters. He wants a family that will keep him, and the dog treats that want as a job that must be done.
