The summer of 1965 finds Frankie (Frankie Avalon) and Dee Dee (Annette Funicello) back at the beach with the usual crowd of surfers, singers and kids. Eric Von Zipper (Harvey Lembeck) leads a motorcycle gang into the mix, and singing star Sugar Kane is kidnapped. William Asher fills the sand with dancers and sky-diving surfers, and a mermaid named Lorelei in the water.
