In 1960 London, an architect named Paul Linden (David Farrar) returns home with Nichole (Noëlle Adam), a much younger French wife his teenage daughter has never met. Jennifer (Gillian Hills) resents her on sight and goes looking for trouble in the city's bohemian clubs, where Dave (Adam Faith) and Kenny King (Christopher Lee) move among the crowd. Edmond T. Gréville sets the two women against each other across a single household.
