Beautiful Kate

“The past is always present.”

Long-buried secrets from the Kendall family's past wait on their remote, isolated property, and Ned (Ben Mendelsohn) is called back to it when his father is dying. He arrives with his fiancée Toni (Maeve Dermody), who struggles with the isolation, while memories of his twin sister Kate (Sophie Lowe) and his older brother begin to surface. Rachel Ward films the house and its surroundings with a stillness that lets those buried years come up slowly.
