“A cut above”

Gina Norris (Queen Latifah) is a hairdresser from Chicago who has moved to Atlanta with her daughter, and she's already the best stylist in her salon. Her boss Jorge has no patience for her, so she leaves to open her own shop, taking a few of his clients and employees along, including Lynn (Alicia Silverstone). Bille Woodruff follows Gina as she sweeps the floor of a rented space and tries to build a salon with her own name on it.
