Beaver Trilogy

In 1979, a young man from Beaver, Utah walks up to the filmmaker Trent Harris in a Salt Lake City parking lot, earnest and sure he belongs on a stage. Harris follows him home to tape a talent show, where the kid pulls on a blond wig and performs as Olivia Newton-John. Harris keeps coming back to him, remaking the story with Sean Penn, then with Crispin Glover, as if he cannot let the boy go.
