Bed and Board

(1970)Directed by François Truffaut97 min · PGComedy, Drama, Romance
“First Truffaut gave us The 400 Blows. Then Stolen Kisses... and now Bed and Board.”

In a Paris apartment courtyard, Antoine Doinel (Jean-Pierre Léaud) dyes flowers for a living and works on a novel that never gets finished, while his new wife Christine (Claude Jade) gives violin lessons and waits for their first child. Then Antoine meets Kyoko (Hiroko Matsumoto), a young Japanese woman, and the household starts to come apart. François Truffaut treats marriage as a daily job that two people can quietly stop doing.
