“An irreverent romp that raises hell”

Stanley Moon (Dudley Moore) works the grill at a Wimpy bar in London and wants one thing, Margaret (Eleanor Bron), the waitress he can't bring himself to speak to. George Spiggot (Peter Cook), who happens to be the Devil, offers him seven wishes for his soul, and Stanley signs. Donen films Swinging London in bright color and lets Cook stay perfectly flat, while Stanley goes on wishing for the same girl, one wish at a time.
