Beethoven's Christmas Adventure

A young Christmas elf wants to prove he can handle Santa's sleigh, so he takes off in it without permission. It crash lands in a small town, and the bag of magic toys is lost in the wreck. John Putch has Beethoven, the big St. Bernard, track down the bag from the greedy crooks who took it, and what the film keeps coming back to is how much holiday magic depends on someone getting a stray elf home.
