Adam and Barbara (Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis) wake up dead in their Connecticut home with no memory of how they got that way. A teenage girl named Lydia (Winona Ryder) starts talking to them from the living world, and they need help from someone on the other side. Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton), a ghostly grifter with a taste for chaos, seems like the answer. Burton fills every frame with practical effects and architectural mischief.
