Before the Rain

“Time Never Dies, the Circle is Not Round.”

Kiril (Grégoire Colin) is a young monk in Macedonia who has taken a vow of silence, and he hides a girl whom a village of armed Christians is hunting for the killing of one of their own. In London, Anne (Katrin Cartlidge), a photo editor who is pregnant, asks her estranged husband to meet her at a smart restaurant so she can talk it through. Milcho Manchevski sets the two stories against each other and lets each one echo the other.
