Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

“Freddy, Jason, Michael. We all need someone to look up to.”

Leslie Vernon (Nathan Baesel) is a cheerful young man in Glen Echo who plans to become the next great slasher, and he has invited a documentary crew led by Taylor Gentry (Angela Goethals) to follow him. He explains the rules of the trade to the camera, while Doc Halloran (Robert Englund) hunts him. Glosserman shoots it in the flat, handheld style of a real film crew, so the preparations feel close enough to touch.
