Being John Malkovich

“Ever wanted to be someone else? Now you can.”

Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) is a puppeteer whose marriage to Lotte (Cameron Diaz) has gone quiet and whose career amounts to nothing. Behind a filing cabinet in his office, he finds a tunnel that leads into the mind of John Malkovich (John Malkovich), where he can see through the actor's eyes for fifteen minutes before being ejected. What begins as an oddity becomes leverage, then obsession, then a door three people will fight to control.
