Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla

“A horror film that will stiffen you with laughter!”

Duke Mitchell and Sammy Petrillo, playing themselves, are a nightclub duo on their way to entertain the troops in Guam when they tumble out of their plane. They land on Cola Cola, a jungle island ruled by Dr. Zabor (Bela Lugosi), a mad scientist who has been running experiments on evolution. William Beaudine films the whole stretch in plain daylight, Lugosi in his dark coat among the palms, the island's drums sounding behind him.
