Belfast

“No matter how far you go, you never forget where you came from.”

Buddy (Jude Hill) is nine and spends his days running errands up and down his Belfast street, until the Troubles arrive in 1969 and the neighbors he has always known start to take sides. Kenneth Branagh, drawing on his own childhood, sets the boy among Pa (Jamie Dornan), Ma (Caitríona Balfe), and a Granny (Judi Dench) who knows every face on the block. The family has to decide whether a place can still be home when staying means living in fear.
