Belle and Sebastian

“Two great friends. One grand adventure.”

Sébastien (Félix Bossuet) is a lonely boy in a village high in the snowy Alps during the Second World War, looked after by the old shepherd César (Tchéky Karyo). When a huge wild dog starts turning up near the flocks, the villagers blame her for the sheep that keep dying, but Sébastien sees a frightened animal and begins to win her trust. Nicolas Vanier's film is about how a dog everyone fears can become the one friend a child has.
