Beloved Sisters

“The secret story of Schiller's passion.”

Charlotte von Lengefeld (Henriette Confurius) and her older sister Caroline (Hannah Herzsprung) meet the poet Friedrich Schiller (Florian Stetter), and both of them fall for him. Dominik Graf follows the three through the years of Schiller's rise, the sisters' letters carrying what none of them says aloud. What the film cares about is the bond between Caroline and Charlotte, and what that love has to survive.
