Bend of the River

“The greatness... the glory... the fury... of the Northwest Frontier!”

Glyn McLyntock (James Stewart) has a past he'd rather not discuss, and he's leading a wagon train of homesteaders from Missouri to the Oregon territory. His friend Cole (Arthur Kennedy) shares the same history and the same reasons to keep quiet. Anthony Mann sends the wagons along the river, Stewart riding ahead in his hat, the settlers and their wagons strung out behind him.
