Benny & Joon

“A romance on the brink of reality.”

A card game ends with Sam (Johnny Depp) winning a roommate's place in the house, and he arrives in a battered hat, doing Buster Keaton routines with a fork and a bread roll. Benny (Aidan Quinn), a mechanic, has spent years looking after his sister Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson), a painter who lives with a mental illness. Jeremiah S. Chechik gives Sam and Joon a closeness neither of them has found anywhere else, and Benny can only watch it grow.
