Beowulf & Grendel

“The Hero. The Monster. The Myth.”

Beowulf (Gerard Butler) is a Norse warrior with a name that travels ahead of him, and he sails with a small troop of fighters to answer the call of Hrothgar (Stellan Skarsgård), the Danes' lord. Their task is to rid a village of the troll Grendel (Ingvar E. Sigurðsson), who has been killing its people. Sturla Gunnarsson sets the hunt against a bleak, windblown coast, and the bond between the hunter and the thing he hunts is the film's real subject.
