Raju (Anil Kapoor) is the only child of a widowed millionaire, and the one thing his father's money can't buy him is a mother's love. His father marries Nagmani (Aruna Irani) to fill that gap, and Raju grows into a man who obeys her in everything. Indra Kumar sets the story inside a rich household, and what it asks is how far a son will go for the affection of a woman who may not return it.
