Bete Balanço

Bete (Débora Bloch) comes from a small town with a singing voice and one plan, to turn it into a living in Rio de Janeiro. Lael Rodrigues puts her among the musicians and hangers-on of the city's bohemian scene, including Rodrigo (Lauro Corona) and a young Cazuza as Tininho. Rio costs money she doesn't have, and every night she sings is a night she could lose the chance to stay.
