Betrayed

“Suspect. Investigator. Passion. Betrayal.”

Katie Phillips (Debra Winger) is an FBI agent working undercover as a combine driver, sent into the Midwest wheat harvest to watch a man the Bureau suspects of a double life as a white supremacist. Costa-Gavras puts her on Gary Simmons's (Tom Berenger) land, where he is a widowed father, a churchgoer, a man who is kind to her and to his children. She is supposed to be building a case, and instead she is falling for him.
