Betty
Betty Etamble (Marie Trintignant) is found drunk and unsteady in a Parisian bar, and no one there can say how she got to that state. Laure (Stéphane Audran), an alcoholic herself and older, takes her to a hotel room, and Claude Chabrol lets Betty tell her bourgeois life and her unfaithful marriage from the bed. Two women tell each other very little that is easy, and the film lingers on how much of a marriage can go on without being said.
