“THE STORY OF PROWL CAR 13...BASED ON THE POLICE FILES OF A GREAT CITY!”

Officer Rocky Barnes (Mark Stevens) and Officer Dan Purvis (Edmond O'Brien) are war buddies who work the night shift in a prowl car. Rocky goes easy on the people he stops, while Dan thinks every lawbreaker is scum, and both have fallen for the radio voice of dispatcher Kate Mallory (Gale Storm). Gordon Douglas sets her hesitation against their eagerness, since Kate doesn't want a man who might catch a bullet.
